Our outing started with combed hair!

We went to the Peet’s Coffee in Fairfax, where Janella works, and had free samples at the soft opening, including some cheese and crackers for Jesse. (He’s making a face, but he enjoyed himself.)

After a few slices of pizza at Mama Lucia’s (where we told Jesse — and the owner — that we decided on his name at the neighboring table), we hit Gymboree, arriving a few minutes late. We didn’t get to hear the welcome song, but we dove right in.

Jesse got a little rowdy during parachute time.

A lengthy nap followed once we got home.

Maddie and her mom came over after we got back from Gymboree (Cathy took Jesse’s “selfie”). After dinner, Dan and I took him to the playground. And, he tasted a coconut lime slushie I made, and had black beans at two meals. Some day!

And these were BEFORE we gave him ice cream.

Jesse has been pretty tired after swimming, so my goal has been to stuff him and put him down for a nap ASAP. Here he eats a pile of blueberries after class.

But first, a little peek-a-boo.

Jesse and I delivered groceries to hungry families for Spring Mitzvah Day, then followed up our good deeds with a trip to the swings.

Jesse’s enrolled in Baby & Me swim class (the teacher said at the first class, “After these five classes, you’re still going to have a baby who can’t swim.”) at a county rec center. Here’s scenes from the first class Dan was able to attend; therefore, these are the first images of swim class, since my hands stay busy there.
