So we went to apply for Jesse’s passport Tuesday, and the photos I brought were deemed the wrong composition.
We had new photos taken there, with me holding him in a standing position in front of the white screen.
The one on top was taken July 4, about two months ago, while the bottom was taken Tuesday. Where did that round face go?
On Friday, Jesse’s day care was closed. So he spent the day at Mommy’s office.
I packed up the swing that usually lives upstairs as well as blankets and favorite toys.
Jesse was well-behaved all day, and even managed to enjoy himself.
Just like at school, he had tummy time.
Thanks to Uncle Bob and Aunt Amy, Jesse’s jump toy got installed.
So, the other day, Jesse was in his terry duck suit. He was not being cooperative when it came to posing, so I will simply share all of the mediocre photos below:
Jesse is showing a penchant for bucking authority. So what if he’s supposed to sleep on his back? He turned over as Dan was coming to bed, and he’s been sound asleep for about 10 hours, on his side and now front, so you don’t see us complaining.
He oddly decided to nestle his cone head into the slats.
We had the opportunity Sunday to weigh Jesse, and found out he’s 15 pounds, 7 ounces (with clothes on).
That means he’s now too big for the top level of the play yard.
So after a little wrestling, he now has a big boy playpen.
It’s going to be a little harder to change him in it now, though.
Here’s Jesse as he was waking up this morning.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Jesse sat in the exersaucer at school for a few minutes — a first. So I decided it was time to set up the one I found on Craigslist.
I tried it out Thursday morning. Jesse seems to dig it.
It’s living next to his Pack’n’Play for now.
I wedged him in with a towel, just like at school.
His feet just reach the floor on tip-toe (it’s set to the lowest height).
I bet he’s going to enjoy all of the noise-making jungle animals. But right now, he mostly seemed surprised not to be lying down.
Jesse spent some time babbling yesterday while sitting on the couch near Thunder.
He’s certainly opinionated.
