Jesse climbs into our tub every chance he gets. The bath toys apparently don’t require the presence of water.

Here’s Jesse on his way to day care this morning. He looked a bit disheveled when I was getting him out of the car, but he was still pretty cute.

I seriously think he’s thinking: Maybe there will be a ball today?

When we get to the door, he marches in, then usually heads straight for the infant room, where he tries to steal toys from unsuspecting babies.

In the play area of his classroom, he says goodbye. Or not.

No photos, because everything I took had a motion blur — he’s always on the move.

Jesse is getting lanky! He’s now 31.5 inches tall, putting him in the 63rd percentile. His weight, at 23 lbs, is 55th percentile. And even better, his head circumference is gaining — at 18 inches, he’s now got a bigger noggin than 20 percent of his cohort.
He also still enjoys eating paper.

I finally decided Jesse was ready to try out the car-shaped carts at Giant. He enjoyed the ride through the story, but, just as when facing me, he always turns around to see where we are going, he kept looking behind him (through the rear window) to make sure I was still there.

Jesse is getting pretty handy with a spoon, but we try to limit his experiments to food that sticks well to upside-down utensils. Here are some yams from Monday night.

We had a playdate Sunday with Shalom Baby/Growing Jewish Families in Northern Virginia. Jesse had a great time playing with babies younger than he was (easy targets for a toy-stealer) and older kids (he worked hard to imitate them).
